In 1967 Erich Leinsdorf recorded this with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and released it on a record as RCA AGLI-1273 and as the rarely seen Testament label CD, TES 1394. Not to be confused with a later performance of RJ by Leinsdorf in 1977 released as the Sheffield CD “The Leinsdorf Sessions Vol. 1”. The 67 Leinsdorf vinyl recording was so good that I bought two extra copies so if it wears out I will still have a good copy.
This blog is for people who want to learn to appreciate classical music. All music was chosen for accessibility and outstanding merit. Most have won awards and reflect my 60+ years of listening. Most classical music is just the popular music from the past and needs no more training to enjoy than pop music or eating ice cream. It is dedicated to Dr. Joe Stocco who mastered all western classical music by age 12 and introduced me to it when I was 13. My public playlists are on Spotify at jbritell.

Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet, Spotify Playlist
This piece of music comes in different versions and lengths as the ballet has 52 musical sections and most recordings choose a smaller subset
of them. So whether you like this piece may depend on what
selections were chosen for the recording you listen to.
